La Loire à vélo®, from Ancenis (E9) to Saint-Brevin (F3) • 100 km

At its start, the Loire is wild and tumbles down the hillsides but soon it reaches Nantes to flow on its way towards the estuary. As you follow its course, enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Canal de la Martinière!
Don’t miss the “Estuary by Bike” route, just a short distance away, and explore the permanent artworks in the Estuaire Nantes < > Saint-Nazaire exhibition.

Take it easy as you follow the towpath from one lock to the next, following the meandering route taken by this major 19th-century feat of engineering.

Vélocéan, from Mesquer (D2)  to Bourgneuf-en-Retz (H4)  • 140 km
Follow the Vélocéan route to reach the not-to-be-missed locations on the Loire-Atlantique’s sea coast: La Baule bay, the medieval citadel of Guérande and the Côte Sauvage (Wild Coast) to the north, with its little creeks and great beaches of fine sand, and then, to the south, Pornic and Bourgneuf bay…
